Any test can give misleading result. What do you mean by false positive? It is not the angiogram that is wrong, it is the interpretation of the imaging results that may miss something, overcall the finding or inappropriate reading.

CT angiograms are very good at detecting narrowed of blocked coronary arteries and now with use of fractional flow reserve measurements, it can be determined if the blockages are hemodynamically significant or not sparing some patients going through.invasive treatment.
