A member asked:

Hi, i'm 32, male. i was vaccinated for hpv, i had 3 shots, the last in may 2012. is it recommended to get a booster? i read that sometimes it's recommended after 10 years. when it is recommended, what are the reasons?

One large study I read involving hundreds of people showed the vaccine's efficacy was strong after 10 years and boosters were not deemed needed. You could consult a specialist in infectious disease or public health for advice, though.

re-booster shots in a healthy person are optional. They are recommended in older persons and others with co-morbidities increasing their risk
