I see no reason either label would cause you to be infertile. If this is a side effect of the depot, do something different. If it took 8 months to show up it is likely unrelated but might be. Your doc can sort out over time. If you stop all BC and try to conceive, a delay beyond a year would be reason for a fertility evaluation.
