A member asked:

If i had vaginosis for 2 months of my pregnancy. can this infection spread to my fetus? if so, what damage can it cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not exactly.: Vaginosis can't "spread" to your fetus, but there is some evidence to suggest vaginosis is responsible for some cases of preterm delivery. If the medication your doctor didn't work, there are alternatives. I recommend you follow up with your ob.
