Sugar (glucose among other forms) is a necessary part of human metabolism. It is the main fuel source of the brain and heart muscle and supplies necessary energy to the rest of the body in an easily utilized form. Could you have health complications from an excess-yes, but I know of no data to suggest hearing loss is one of these complications.
