Adrenalin is one of several stress hormones that are release in any stressful situation. It is part of the "fight or flight" response. A mild elevation could easily be caused by stress or anxiety. Persistent or sudden high elevation would be a worrisome sign suggesting an adrenalin secreting tumor as previously mentioned. by Dr. Singh.
