Pain improves.: You should not experience pain during your c-section. Afterward you will have pain for 4-6 weeks. This may be a sharp or burning pain. It should slowly resolve over that time. Some people continue to have a tingling or numb sensation at the site of their incision. This may take longer to resolve.
