Unless someone is very athletic with known bradycardia (HR less than 60bpm), anyone who is symptomatic and has bradycardia needs to be evaluated with a heart exam and EKG. Bradycardia can be a sign of a life threatening cardiac condition on one end of the spectrum to taking medications like a beta blocker.
