A 1 yo can get all their hunger drive met by milk or Ensure. More than 24 oz of cow milk/d can result in intestinal bleeding/anemia to the point of needing medical intervention. I see no reason to ever offer a 1 yo fries much less potato chips. If you want to wean them from fries, offer a single one as a reward for eating normal food. No chips. Use earmuffs if he fusses, it will pass.
