Recurrent or persistent BV is very common and medical science doesn't have answers; probably there is no single answer. If sexually active with a male partner, stop for a few weeks or try 100% condom use. If you have a female partner, probably she also has BV and both need treatment. Boric acid may help. Find a gyn who subspecializes in infectious diseases. Good luck.
