Terbinafine concentrates in the skin after you take it, and while it has a serum half-life (the time it takes to clear half the drug from your bloodstream) of 14 hours, its half-life in skin is from 8 to 16 days. Photosensitivity is a known side effect that occurs in from one to ten percent of patients, so if you are in that group, you may sunburn more easily, but this effect decreases daily.
