A member asked:

Photodermatitis, aside from skin eruptions, considering it is an allergy, could it cause anaphylaxis if so, how common is it? if its possible, is having an outbreak already, and going into the sun again more likely to cause potential anaphylaxis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sun exposure per se is unlikely to result in anaphylaxis. Visit this site for info: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/anaphylaxis/symptoms-causes/syc-20351468#:~:text=Anaphylaxis%20causes%20the%20immune%20system,rash%3B%20and%20nausea%20and%20vomiting.
