Some boils will respond to applications of heat several times daily. This increases local circulation and can draw a boil to the surface and drain. When/if they form a deeper abscess, they tend to recur unless they are opened/drained, and their wall removed. Antiseptic soap used on a regular basis may reduce recurrences.
