Rabies virus is transmitted through direct contact (such as through broken skin or mucous membranes in the eyes, nose, or mouth) with saliva or brain/nervous system tissue from an infected animal. People usually get rabies from the bite of a rabid animal. ref: www.cdc.gov

There is no risk of contracting rabies in above mentioned circumstances. Check cdc.gov for reliable information regarding rabies transmission. Health related anxiety appears likely and you should discuss the possibility with your family doc.

Don't try to feed most animals ,because they will be at your door looking for food. Raccoons do carry the rabies virus, but not all. Stay away from them, don't disturb them, so you will avoid being bitten. No air contact for rabies, only a bite or scratch.
