While male breast cancer is unusual, it does happen and only proper evaluation and tests can exclude it as a possibility. Gynecomastia can also be a sign of other systemic disorders. Go see your doc and discuss all these issues in detail. Treatments depend on the diagnosis, which is not clear from these symptoms.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. Gynecomastia is generally bilateral where as a breast cancer is usually unilateral. In any case, it would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!
