Hydrenitis suppurativa is caused by blocked hair follicles and the flareups are caused by a wide range of bacteria. Since some have been colonizing your armpit skin, I recommend using hibiclens for the entire armpits. Are also being treated for flareups with antibiotic ointment or creams and/or oral antibiotics?
