A member asked:

Hello! i am in the medical field but i find it very difficult sometimes to not take certain symptoms, diseases i learn about and apply it to myself. how do you as doctors retain the information but not get overly anxious or self diagnose so to speak?

It's a doubled edged sword. It's hard not to overthink, especially about the worst scenario when you know too much. But the knowledge can also provide reassurance since you will know the general course of disease progression and treatment you can try first (which usually works), or the specialist you will need to see to address the issue.
