Allergic to bee sting does not mean you can not eat or drink honey; however, it does put you at risk for the other stinger species close to bees.

Most allergies are to wasps and not bees. Cross sensitivity to bees,wasps,hornets can occur but is not as common as most people think. The allergist can advise u. If you are not sure whether you reacted to a bee or wasp an allergist can conduct tests to determine which one was more likely. Be sure to carry an antihistamine like benadryl and an epipen with you at all times, especially when outdoors
