A member asked:

Mega cisterna magna in foetus ,is it a problem for child?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

This is found in about 1 in 5000 births and is usually an isolated finding and generally does not cause any problems , but sometimes the obstetrician might like to follow up with ultrasound to make sure there is no enlargement of the ventricles , or any other anomalies.
