A member asked:

I was told that i have orthostatic hypotension. my question is why does lightheadedness and dizziness only effect me at times but not all the time when standing. i also have problems with my ears feeling full. could this be part of the problem too?

Orthostatic hypotension occurs most often when rising rapidly from a sitting or recumbent position, and not after standing for a few minutes. For "ear fullness" , see an ENT physician, as "ear wax" can accumulate and cause this.

In generall the fall in BP will be worse in AM than later in day. Your body is talking to you. Listen and take good notes and share with your Dr. Are you taking ANY meds. Does it occur before or after you take them. Is it worse before or after you eat.
