A member asked:

Is an a/g ratio of 2.75 worrisome? albumin 5.5 and globulin 2.0?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, what you described is not worrisome. It appears you were dehydrated when blood was collected. Wish you good health!

I assume the remainder of the liver panel was normal. Kidney pathology can raise.A/G ratios.and, therefore, I recommend having a urinalysis with microscopic examination of the urinary sediment for the sake of completeness. If significant amount of protein is present in your urine or the microscopic exam is abnormal, consult a nephrologist.
