A member asked:

What is the best kind of anti deppresant for someone who can't take birth conteoll pills?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No best kind: Paxil (paroxetine) has shown more problems and adverse birth complications than other ssris, but all antidepressants have low risks of complications. Alternatively, doing light therapy (10, 000 lux) for 30 minutes in the morning, and getting at least 30 minutes of cardio exercise can be as effective as medication for mild to moderate depression or anxiety.
