This is why it's important to have a GP that you see at least yearly to establish a base line and a background for comparison. "Serious" can only be determined after examination, possible lab tests, possible imaging, especially if it can be examined in the light of previously collected data. If you have a GP go see him/her. If not, find one. Or 2nd choice go to Urgent Care.
