My skin tag that i've had for years on my armpit is suddenly painful. 3 days later it is red and leaked white pus followed by a tiny bit of blood when i poked it with my finger. why is this happening and is it something serious and/or urgent?

Need to see it. Have you been pulling at it? Tags on both sides. No common at your age. May want to go to urgent care if it is infected. Did pus smell bad?

What you described is consistent with infection and skin tag may be incidental. It is imperative that you see a doctor to treat the infection, before it gets worse. Wish you good health!
