A member asked:

My echo result came back and it said echo findings: the pulmonic valve was not well visualized. the inferior vena cava was not well visualized. the aorta was not well visualized. what does that mean?

It means the technician was not able to get a clear picture of the structures during the procedure. It does not necessarily mean anything bad. Its like taking pictures having them all come out blurry. A different study by a different tech with different equipment may produce a study that is easier to gain information from.

I means the tech could not visualize these anatomic areas for some reason. You body build, your weight most likelyl.

"Not well visualized" on a radiology report mean exactly what it sounds like; there was not a complete image of the structure referred to. This may have been a focused exam meaning whoever was looking was just concentrating on one area of interest. At 22 years you would be unlikely to have a problem with these other structures. Why DID you have a cardiac echo?
