It's best to keep a baby of this age out of the sun as much as possible. If there are times or areas of the body for which you can't do that, then a small amount of sunscreen can be used. Try a "patch test" first on the inner arm to be sure there is no reaction. I never would. Sunscreens are occlusive and impair normal sweating. Baby can overheat if used. At that age they need to stay out of direct sunlight, after 6mo, brief exposure is okay. After a year I might use a small amount on a limited area. Be aware that sun damage in early life increases risk of skin cancer. It is best to avoid when possible.
