The skin test reaction may be due to the application of the extract. It usually subsides within one week. Discuss the use of a daily antihistamine, twice daily caladryl lotion with your Pediatrician or Allergist. The Neosporin is not advised, and if there is a skin infection, a course of antibiotics should be evaluated by either a virtual HT visit or your physician.
