I'm a final year mbbs student. myopic. day before yesterday i'm diagnosed with lattice and retinal detachment. b/l prophylactic laser barrage done. i'm afraid what if i lose my sight and can't pursue medicine? it'll be the end of my life for me?

Do not despair. I have about 6 retinal tears that were repaired. Do see a retina specialist every 6 months. Immediately if you develop additional floaters or flashes of light. Pay attention to your studies. Wish you good health and the best in life.
