It seems that in drug screens (lab tests) i randomly test positive for gabapentin which i haven't taken in about 2 or 3 years. my significant other is prescribed them- no contact with me however. is there any explanation?

Depending on what test you used, it may be a false positive. Otherwise, you may have taken gabapentin without knowing it.
