A member asked:

Does general anathesia make your muscles weaker and if yes how long?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A few hours. Your general anesthesia relaxes muscles to the point their reflexes do not interfere with the procedure, The gas anesthetics leave your system by being exhaled after the procedure within minutes. Any IV sedation would leave within hours. No lingering effect on muscle mass or function would be expected.
