Some patients on beta blockers do complain of cold extremities & are used cautiously in patients with severe peripheral vascular disease. This is more pronounced with noncardioselective beta blockers like propranolol. However I don't believe this translates.into blocking a blushing response. As you point.out they can produce a calming effect.

Beta blockers have numerous side effects including decreased pulse and blood pressure, depression, worsening of asthma, exercise intolerance, fatigue, and yes, blunting of libido. Does NOT directly block blushing, per se, but does lower anxiety, and has been used for "stage fright".
