Iron deficiency does not cause easy bruising. Easy bruising is a generally an issue of the blood clotting system in the body. It can occur due to certain medications, vitamin deficiency, or genetic conditions. Consider chatting with your doctor if this easy bruising continues.

If the bruise occurred without obvious trauma it may represent vascular fragility or clotting deficiency, If it recurs, it would be prudent to consult your doctor. Take oral iron supplement with meals to reduce stomach irritation.
