LESI : Epidural injections may be effective for treatment of certain kinds of back pain and radiculopathy (sciatica); however, they are not without risks. Corticosteroids used during these injections may cause hyperglycemia in the susceptible individual or a person with diabetes. 1/2 the dose is usually as effective for pain control as the full-dose. Can be done with planning & coordination.
