Shampoo removes sebum, oils and dirt from hair. There are many shampoos that contain harsh chemicals or things that people are allergic to. Others are well balanced and mild. While it is wise to not shampoo daily (since it strips hair of natural oils), not using any shampoo may cause other problems such as excess acne, limp oily hair, and a predisposition to lice, mites, etc. Don't follow trends!
