I am 53 years old and i have no menstruation since 06.01.2021. i would like to know whether i still need to use a birth control method when i have a sexual intercourse? is there still the risk of getting pregnant at this age? am i menopaused?

The average age of "true menopause" is 54. Ask your gyn or PCP physician to obtain a serum FSH level, and if over 10, it may be menopause. If less than 10, it can indicate possible ovulation delay, but pregnancy, although very rare at this point, can still occur.

No there is no risk. Yes you are menopausal. But pl see a Gyn for follow up care periodically.
