I was prescribed buspirone 15mg as needed. would it be okay to split up the dose during the day? or does it need to be taken all at once. was also prescribed zoloft , to be taken once a day after breakfast?

Hello, Hope you are doing fine. Usually initial dose of Buspirone is 10 to 15 mg per day in 2 to 3 divided doses, like 5 mg twice a day or 3 times a day, so, yes you can split the dose. Just be careful because there is an interaction between Zoloft and Buspirone, so you should double check with the provider who prescribed those 2 medications.
