COVID-19 can be prevented best with vaccination of the Pfizer/Moderna/J&J vaccines (according to guidelines for each), and at this point in the pandemic, the use of masks in public indoor gatherings. COVID-19 can also occur with breakthrough infections even in vaccinated individuals, but the risk of serious hospitalization/death is significantly reduced.

No best way only many ways to stay safe. Get vaccinated and then a booster 4- 6 months later. Wear a mask in crowds or unfamiliar areas. Wash hands after touching objects that others have touched before you. Stay mentally and physically healthy. Don't mingle with unvaccinated persons. If anyone coughs or sneezes leave area. Wear gloves when you open doors or pump gas. Always be careful.
