A member asked:

Earlier today i got super stressed about something and my period kind of stopped(im on my cd2 and flow was going well up until the moment i got stressed, when it drastically diminished). does stress have an ability to reduce flow?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stress can affect menstrual blood flow and can actually stop your periods all together. In some stress can cause heavier flow or irregular periods. Stress most likely upsets the fine balance of your sex hormones.
