A member asked:

Is it possible to ovulate from both ovaries during the same cycle, or does hyperovulation originate from just one ovary?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If the degree of maturation of follicles is almost identical in two follicles, both may react to the hormonal surge of a cycle simultaneously, regardless of which or both ovaries contain follicles nearly identical in maturation.
