Ok me n wife had sore throats for 7 days not as bad as first 5-6 but still there for sure had some productive cough and congestion dr. called us in keflex 500 3x daily been on 2 full days not much change any ideas? how long is to long?

A majority of these are viral in which case antibiotics are of no value. It will pass when it does. Three weeks would be a sign of mono.

A Flu, Strep and COVID 19 screening test should be considered. If viral usually there is improvement within 5 days. Watch for signs of shortness of breath, fever and difficulty swallowing. Drink soothing fluids and rest.
