A member asked:

My child was eating salty chips, and now their mouth burns. they do not have any known allergies.. what is the problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Too much salt in mouth is acid and can cause burning, especially if there is a cavity or gum disease. Rinse out after with a combination of hydrogen peroxide and water to reduce the acid content.
