Small mild stinging in left side of lung upon exhale since 2 days ago. not unbearable, constant or short breathed. a single sting comes every 40 min. located upper left if laying right or lower left if laying left. is it a major concern?

If it's more of a sharp but fleeting discomfort brought on by a deep breath, it's more apt to be a pinched intercostal nerve or muscle that runs between 2 ribs. These usually resolve after a few days. A lung cause would usually have an associated cough. See your MD if pains persist or cough occurs.
