Painful contractions at "37w" of pregnancy should be evaluated by your OB physician by an exam and external monitoring. Other pregnancy history would be helpful to determine the urgency needed for your symptoms, but an exam is necessary at this point. "Braxton-Hicks" contractions are historically painless.
