Itching in Pityriasis rosea, could last 2 to 3 months but it varies from person to person. If the diagnosis has been over 4 months, one should go back to the PCP/ Dermatologist for reassessment.

It would be unusual for pityriasis rosea to last more than 10-12 weeks. Would suggest seeing your doc in follow up, question initial diagnosis and/or escalate treatment in case refractory form.
