If you had covid it takes time to get better. Take OTC cough medicine and if not better in a few days see your doc.

It may time some time to fully recover and many patients have prolonged symptoms. Use nasal saline rinses, rest, monitor breathing and temperature. Watch for signs of shortness of breath, worsening cough and green discharge. Stay well hydrated and an over the counter cough syrup without codeine may relieve cough to allow sleep at night. During the daytime, unless severe, medication usu not needed.
