A member asked:

Difference between thunderclap headache and ice pick headaches ? suffer ice picks regularly as part of chronic migraine but normally only seconds . had one yesterday repeated sudden throbbing for around a minute ? migraine like nausea followed ?

Yes, you appear to have a migraine variant, But so far, no Thunderclap headache. You will know if you ever have one, as it will be quite PROFOUNDLY intense, and indeed memorable. Hope this is not in your future. See a neurologist.
