Developed sudden numbness below my left kneecap extending down top of leg and across leg. affected area about the size of a fist. neuro exam significant for brisk reflexes. dr said if doesnt improve wants to do mri to r/o ms. could this be ms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

MS signifies "multiple" areas of involvement, and diagnosis is based upon changes in anatomical brain, eye, spinal cord locations, and changes in time, new and older lesions in central nervous system. The findings you describe do not fulfill the criteria at this point. Suggest a visit to an experienced neurologist to thoroughly evaluate the potential diagnosis.
