A member asked:

I had colopscopy and several cervical biopsies taken. during the end i felt lightheaded and nauseous and fainted. it took ages to recover. what causes fainting during this 'simple' procedure? thanks?

Pain associated with the procedure is one explanation. Another explanation is autonomic reaction from distress to the issue even without conscious pain. You may have been dehydrated before the procedure and that would have prolonged the recovery period. Wish you good health!
