You do not have to wait to get tested if you have symptoms and exposure. Call your pediatrician who may be able to coordinate based on local resources, let your school know as well, you should isolate until test rates and possibly after too.

Confirm with a Flu and COVID-19 test. Drink fluids,rest, monitor your temperature and breathing. Self isolate for at least 10 days after a positive test. If test negative, retest for COVID-19 in 3 to 5 days .
