A member asked:

Is it normal for a resting pulse of a 25 year old female to be 61? is this too long? i do cardio most days for many years but am no means an athlete. sometimes my pulse is 58 normal bp?

The pulse rate of a healthy heart ranges from 60 to 90 beats per minute. Those who exercise regularly can have their pulse drop down to as low as 50/minute. So I would not worry about your pulse rate unless you have some symptoms due to it which is unlikely. So no worries.

It sounds like a normal heart rate. Circumstances always matter and if having any type of symptoms, work up may need to be extended with the help of your primary care doc.
